The PSVita was unveiled at this year’s well-known E3 Convention. (Electronic Games Expo for the less game-savvy folks) It was during Sony‘s press conference when the unleashed all the newest details and video on the latest and greatest Sony portable. And even though it looks like any gamers dream handheld… Do we know for certain it will live up the glorious name it has been given?
Well for starters, we do know it will have all of Sony’s first party companies devolping games for it such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Resistance, Killzone and even ModNation Racers. So we know that their will be some great games already backing the release. We also know the layout of the handheld is what we’ve ALL been wanting : Two Analog Sticks! This enables gamers to play shooters, which is a BIG thing in the current gaming world. The handheld also boasts a ton of other features such as a gyroscope, camera and 3G. While this all sounds well and great, do we know if the technology will work? The brand-new Nintendo 3DS seemed to be all that. With an analog stick, 3D capabilities and more, it seemed like the hottest handheld on the market! Until, gamers received it as less than great… Saying things like it didn’t live up to the height, or it wasn’t marketed properly. Either way, this makes me weary of the Vita. Even though, it seems grand.
Although most aspects making me wonder if the PSVita will be as good as it looks, I still believe it will be one of the most awesome handhelds to ever launch. I’m more then hyped to be playign all sorts of my favorite Sony titles on the go and more. Other companies such as Activision and EA, stated they are supporting the handheld with releases. The line-up of games alone makes this handheld make my mouth water. The PSVita has many winning aspects of it. I can truly see this console being a winner in my eyes. But … Time will tell. Vita, don’t fail us! Don’t fail us like the horrid PSPGO!
