Poor Sonic has been through a lot of harsh times.

But I personally have a feeling those dark times for the ol’ blue blur are over with the upcoming Sonic Generations. But it’s not all thanks to Generations that Sonic has some more life… Oh no. It’s been a thorough process.

It all started with Sonic Unleashed. And no! Don’t close out the article yet! This game is truly the reason Sonic is back and ready to kick competition in the face with a homing attack. It added the new Sonic gameplay that was incredible compared to the other garbage Wii titles for Sonic. It made him faster, sleeker and felt comfortable. Sega hit gold with that formula. Granted, most overlook Sonic Unleashed due to the werehog mode, which yeah…

it was bad. But hey, with a success comes a failure. Also think, Sonic has had some worse outings….. (Sonic Heroes, Sonic ’06, and Sonic and The Secret Rings to name a few) But after the brilliance Sega hit with Unleashed, they decide to try and mold a new shell for Sonic in Sonic 4. And we can all agree that Sonic 4 fell flat on its face. Especially with the 15$ price tag at launch. [Read more...]
